The Imo Task Force on Illicit Drugs and Other Related Matters has impounded a truck load of cannabis worth N20 million, according to the Commander, Ijeoma Igboanusi.
Prof. Moji Adeyeye, the Director-General of NAFDAC, made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja on Wednesday.
Yakubu Kibo, the State Commander of the agency, who made the disclosure during public destruction and burning of the illicit drugs said that the development followed the unrelenting efforts by the command officers.
The PCN Bauchi State Officer, Bakwa Nenlep, gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Bauchi on Friday.
This is the largest chunk of drugs to be destroyed by the NDLEA since the inception of the counter-narcotic Agency.
