Bako was not just a Colonel and a Brigade Commander, he was a personification of the soldiering profession and a great asset to the nation. Based on his impeccable qualities as a soldier’s soldier and wonderful person, he was loved by all. His thoughts, ideals, views on journalism and in life motivated many of us who came close to him and will continue to inspire us. Here are my remarks as the tributes flow in praise of a good man that he was.
