Onaiyekan, who made the call at an interactive session with Catholic Action and Catholic Political Stakeholders in Abuja, stressed that government should give Nigerians a forum to dialogue.

Onaiyekan made the call at a four-day National Workshop organised by Cardinal Onaiyekan Foundation for Peace in collaboration with Lux Terra Leadership Foundation in Abuja.

Onaiyekan said: “Nigerians should stop complaining and get involved in politics because it is a serious task that will salvage the nation and give the youths hope for the future.

The prelate said it was important for the people to leverage on the good works of the late bishop in uniting the people of the North Central Nigeria through evangelism and establishment of schools

Both Abubakar and Onaiyekan gave the warning on Wednesday in Abuja at a joint press conference organised by the Interfaith Initiative for Peace, a pan-peace NGO co-chaired by them
