Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, has departed Nigeria for Switzerland to kick off his European Summer tour amid a court case.

This comes barely 48 hours after he was released on bail from police detention for assaulting a police officer.

Recall that The Eagle Online reported that the singer was in police custody for eight days for assaulting a police officer on Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State.

As at the time of this report, there has not be any document or court order preventing Kuti from leaving the country.
