Senate passes Bill to Establish Hate Speech Commission to First Reading

The Senate on Tuesday began legislation to establish an agency that will check hate speech.The bill, titled: “National Commission for the Prohibition of Hate Speeches (Estb., etc) Bill 2019.” was sponsored by Senate Deputy Whip, Abdullahi Sabi. Already the bill has passed into first reading on the floor of Senate.
