Rotary Club donates medical equipment to Alimosho General Hospital

The Rotary Club International, Egbe District 9110 on Saturday donated medical equipment and consumables to the Alimosho General Hospital in Lagos.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the items donated included wheelchairs, mattresses, electronic blood pressure check and drip stand.
The President of the district, Babatunde Taofiq, said the donation was to assist the hospital to meet some of its needs.
Taofiq said the hospital, which is the most accessible to residents in the area, needed such support to aid its services to its patients.
He said: “We visited the hospital in April 2019 to find out some of its needs and how we can support in our own little way as a club.
“That is why we are here today to donate these equipment that will be of help to the patients who will be coming to seek medical help.
“Rotarians are known for their humanitarian gestures.
“We deprive ourselves a lot to put smiles on the faces of people all over the world.”
Also, Dr. Madewa Adebajo, the Medical Director of the hospital, received the equipment.
He thanked the club members for their kind gesture, which he said would go a long way in complementing the efforts of the state government in healthcare delivery for the citizens.
Adebajo said the equipment would be put to use adequately and for the right purpose.
He said: “This is, indeed, a good and kind gesture coming from the Egbe District of the Rotary Club.
“It is commendable.
“All aspect of human endeavour has a link to health in one way or the other; health is one of the major priorities of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led administration.”
