The management of Rangers International FC of Enugu on Thursday offered to dialogue with its Warri Wolves counterpart over the clearance of goalkeeper Chigozie Agbim and forward Sunday Mba.
There has been dispute between the two clubs over the switch of Agbim and Mba.
The management of the Warri side claimed the players have not been officially cleared to play for the Enugu club, and threatened to take the matter to the authorities.
On Wednesday, Warri Wolves management officially reported the case to the Nigeria Football Federation and the Nigerian Premier League.
The media officer of Rangers, Foster Chime, claimed on Thursday that the Enugu side had written to Wolves for dialogue.
Chime said: “We have written to Warri Wolves to commence dialogue on the transfer of Agbim and Mba.
“Hopefully, the issue will be settled soon.”
Chime however said the transfer fee being demanded by Warri Wolves is outrageous and the club will not pay such huge amount.
He added: “They are demanding N13 million for Agbim, and N14 million for Mba.
“That’s outrageous.
“Not that the club cannot afford it, but we can’t pay such huge amount for the players.
“We know we’re going to pay for the players but definitely not that amount of money.”
Rangers will be campaigning in the CAF Champions League this year, while Wolves will play in the NPL.
