Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has congratulated Ondo State Governor, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on his inauguration.
Aiyedatiwa took oath of office for a fresh four-year term on Monday having won the governorship election of the state last year.
Oyebanji, in a statement released on Monday by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, described Aiyedatiwa’s emergence in a free and fair election and subsequent inauguration as governor “as evidence that democracy has taken a firm root in the sunshine state”.
The Ekiti governor urged Aiyedatiwa “to extend olive hands to those who contested the governorship seat with him as well as other critical stakeholders and get their input into the government.”
Oyebanji congratulated the All Progressives Congress leadership at the national and state levels on the milestone.
