The Osun State Government on Wednesday declared Thursday a work-free day for residents of the state.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Sunday Akere, made this public in a statement.
According to the statement, the gesture is to commemorate the annulment June 12, 1993 presidential election.
The statement said the day was to mark the election won by a business mogul, Chief Moshood Abiola, but annulled by the then military regime.
