Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has approved the removal of the state Commissioner for the Ministry of Secondary, Technical and Higher Education, Ekpenisi Omorotionmwan.
Also, Oshiomhole approved the dissolution of the State Universal basic Education Board.
In a government Special Announcement signed by Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, the Secretary to the State Government, the governor approved the appointment of Washington Osifo as the new Commissioner for the Ministry of Secondary, Technical and Higher Education, subject to the confirmation by the state House of Assembly.
The dissolution of the Board and the removal of the commissioner, according to the statement, takes immediate effect.
The SUBEB Board is chaired by Hon. Joseph Emoabino while Omorotiomwan was sworn-in as commissioner on March 8, 2013.
