The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has sought the support of the traditional rulers in educating pilgrims about the Hajj rites and the civic responsibilities associated with them.
NAHCON Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Abdullahi Usman, made the request when he visited the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, in his palace, on Wednesday.
Prof. Usman equally appealed to the monarch to help in informing the Muslim Ummah about the Hajj Savings Scheme and its importance towards addressing challenges facing Hajj operations in Nigeria.

Responding, Oba Akiolu appreciated NAHCON for the visit, calling on the Chairman, his team and other Hajj managers to discharge their duties in line with the teachings of Islam.
The NAHCON’s boss was accompanied by the Commissioner for Operations and Licensing, Prince Anofi Elegushi, among other management members
The visit is in continuation of NAHCON’s engagement with critical stakeholders across the country.
