Moses out for three weeks

Stoke City winger, Victor Moses, could face three weeks on the sidelines with a thigh injury.
The winger limped out of Saturday’s defeat at Sunderland after just 18 minutes and won’t now be teaming up with Nigeria ahead of their AFCON double-header against Sudan.
Moses had been recalled to the squad for the qualifiers by Nigerian Coach, Stephen Keshi, having missed last month’s qualifiers against Congo and South Africa.
“I tried to reach him on phone, but he did not pick up. The team secretary reached him and he may now be out for three weeks or so,” the Nigerian boss is reported as saying.
Moses has been in impressive form since his loan move to the Britannia Stadium and Keshi is understandably disappointed to be without his services for the upcoming games.
“I was naturally worried to see him (Moses) get injured (on Saturday).
“He’s been in good form and I just hope that the injury is not that serious because we need him for those important games against Sudan,” Keshi told supersport.com
Stoke had initially feared that Nigeria might still require Moses to fly home so they could verify the injury for themselves.
But common sense has clearly prevailed and so he can now remain at Clayton Wood for treatment.
He will also undergo further tests to try and diagnose the thigh problem after scans last week failed to pinpoint any problem.
Speaking after Saturday’s defeat at Sunderland, Stoke boss, Mark Hughes, said of Moses: “Obviously he felt it almost immediately and we weren’t going to take any risks with him.
“We had him scanned and nothing showed on the scan.
“He trained Thursday and Friday and looked good to go.
“We’re hoping it’s nothing serious, but we’ve got to get to the bottom of what’s causing the pain.”
