Some operatives of the Ogun State Police Command who demanded bribes before they can attend to the case of a missing girl have been arrested.
The Force Public Relations Officer and an Assistant Commissioner of Police, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, revealed this to the public on Saturday.
Adejobi confirmed the development in a post on his X handle.

He also vowed that the missing girl would be found.
He tweeted: “Otta missing girl: The Ogun State Police Command has been on the case.
“The girl will be found asap.
“Also, the policemen who demanded money before they could attend to the case have been arrested and kept in detention for disciplinary action.
“We have condemned such an act, and we won’t tolerate it.
“It’s inhuman, apathetic, and unprofessional.
“We urge the family of the victim to work with the police on the case.
“Thanks.”
The Eagle Online recalls that the spokesperson of the Ogun State Police Command and a Superintendent of Police, Omolola Odutola, had earlier said the hierarchy of the force in the state was probing the allegation against the policemen in Otta Division.
Odutola had then promised that no one would be shielded in the course of investigation.
