Martinez reluctantly sold Moses to Chelsea when he was the manager of Wigan.
He was influential in adding a new dimension to the player he signed from Crystal Palace.
Moses played well when called upon by Chelsea’s interim manager, Rafa Benitez, but was not a regular.
Martinez, who could yet lose Marouane Fellaini to either Manchester United or Arsenal, would jump at the chance of signing Moses as he shapes his own squad following the departure of David Moyes to Manchester United.
