Three nurses and the Director of Administration of Ado Ekiti Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Tayo Olawuyi, have been kidnapped.
The nurses were reportedly kidnapped at about 3pm on Friday.
Olawuyi was also kidnapped last week.
Their abductors are yet to get in touch with their families.
A source told newsmen on Monday in Ado Ekiti that the nurses, who are members of staff of General Hospital, Ifaki, were travelling to Ido Ekiti after close of work when their abductors pounced on them and took them away in the private vehicle the victims were travelling in.
The source, who also works in the same hospital, said: “The driver of the vehicle the victims were travelling in is called Mrs. Titilayo Ajiboye.
“One of the other women is called Mary, but I don’t know the name the third person.
“But Mrs. Ajiboye was on morning duty that day and it was after close of work that day that it happened.
“The incident has thrown the hospital into confusion.
“Mary and the other woman live in Igogo Ekiti.”
Olawuyi’s kidnap was confirmed by a staff of Ado Ekiti Local Government Area, who pleaded for anonymity.
He said Olawuyi was accosted by the suspected kidnappers at the gate of his house located at Odo Ado area of Ado Ekiti at gunpoint.
The abductors, who were said to have come in a ash colour Toyota Camry, drove the victim away in their car.
It was gathered that the five-man gang also took Olawuyi’s official car.
The source said: “Since that day, the family has been trying to call him but the cell phone was switched off.
“In fact, there is confusion everywhere.
“This is the second time Olawuyi will be kidnapped in three years.”
The source said nobody has been contacted among Olawuyi’s family by the kidnappers.
Efforts to get the Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, Victor Babayemi, were unsuccessful as at press time.
