Anthony Joshua has defeated Alexander Povetkin at Wembley Stadium to defend his four world heavyweight titles.
Povetkin, 39, was the mandatory challenger to Joshua after the Brit defeated Joseph Parker at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium back in March.
Povetkin – ranked third in the world – was regarded as AJ’s toughest challenger since facing Wladimir Klitschko under the arch last year, but Joshua was up to contest – winning the fight in the seventh round by TKO.
Once again attention turns to a potential unification fight between the winner of December’s bout between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, which will contest the WBC belt – the one world heavyweight title Joshua is yet to win.
