Frontline politician, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, said on Wednesday that he was yet to receive his Permanent Voter Card from the Independent National Electoral Commission in Kaduna.
Musa, who is the leader of the Peoples Redemption Party and a former governor of Kaduna State, made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria in Kaduna.
He said he was at the INEC ward centre five times without finding any official to attend to him, adding that his name was on the INEC register displayed at his polling unit.
“In my own case, I think it is deliberate, to make sure that I do not contest any election and I will not be able to vote,” he said.
Musa contended that there were many Nigerians that were not issued with the PVC, warning that the issue may affect the credibility of the general election.
The INEC Administrative Secretary in Kaduna State, Alhaji Yusuf Hadeja, however, promised that the commission would issue PVCs to all eligible voters beforeFebruary 14.
Hadeja said that some of the eligible voters in the state had refused to come for their PVCs, especially in Kaduna North and Chukun Local Government Areas.
