A former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, is maintaining a comfortable lead in the governorship election in Kaduna State.
Out of the results from 19 local government areas released as at press time, El-Rufai had only dropped three to the Peoples Democratic Party, which fielded the incumbent, Mukhtar Yero.
And the losses were marginal.
He lost in Jaba, Jama’a and Kaura Local Government Areas.
In all, El-Rufai had garnered 514,036 votes, while the PDP had 189,903.
