About a week after his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the immediate past Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Patrick Akpobolokemi, is still in the custody of the anti-graft agency, Ships and Ports Daily is reporting.
The online publication quoted the spokesman of the commission, Wilson Uwujaren, as confirming the development.
Uwujaren said Akpobolokemi was still under investigation.
Akpobolokemi was arrested shorty after he was sacked by President Muhammadu Buhari.
There were reports that the former DG was fingered in several fraud-related cases.
