As Governor Kayode Fayemi is holding his campaign grand finale at the newly constructed state pavilion along INEC road, Ado Ekiti, some chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Among those who publicly declared support for Fayemi are former Speaker of Ekiti state Houses of Assembly and present Deputy Chairman of PDP in the state, Rt. Hon Femi Bamisile, former woman leader of PDP Erelu Modupe Ogundipe, Chief Dapo Anibaloye from Ifaki.
Former governor of Lagos and national leader of APC Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Osun state governor Ibikunle Amosun, Imo state governor Rochas Okorocha, National Chairman of the party, Chief Odigie Oyegun and other party leaders were at the grand finale.
Bamisile is a right hand man of the candidate of PDP, Mr. Ayo Fayose and it is being said that he fell out with Fayose because of alleged denial of deputy governorship ticket of the PDP.
