The Minister of State for Works, Prince Adedayo Adeyeye, has urged Nigerians, especially the Muslim faithful, to inculcate the habit of making sacrifice for peace and unity of the country.
Adeyeye said: “The major lessons of Eid-el-kabir is sacrifice and faith in Allah, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim and all Nigerians should imbibe these lessons.”
Adeyeye, in his goodwill message to Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, said Nigerians must embrace the culture of love, tolerance and live peacefully with themselves.
He said: “I congratulate our Muslim brothers and sisters across the globe for witnessing another Eid-el-kabir celebration this year.
“As we celebrate Eid-el-kabir with our friends and families, we must never forget our country in our prayers.
“We should also remain faithful and submissive to Allah (SWT), bearing in mind that He is the giver and taker of all things in life.
“The Holy Prophet and Ismail, his son were epitome of faith and total submission to the will of Allah and that is why we celebrate Eid-el-kabir today. It therefore behoves on all believers in Allah (SWT) and the Holy Prophet to remain faithful and submissive to his will.”
