AS the fifth edition of Classic Africa Merit Award (CAMA) is set to
hold on Sunday, September, 13 at 10 Degrees Events Centre in Ikeja
Lagos, organisers have assembled a quartet host for the award scheme.
They include Denrele Edun, who will be taking command of CAMA lush
green carpet with TV gal, Mercy Osuya, the host of De Gallery on MITV,
and Nollywood diva, Halima Abubakar, who will complement radio anchor,
Covenant Child right on the lavishly exquisite CAMA stage.
Organisers say the award is an opportunity to thank valued citizens of
Nigeria and Africa for their contributions and to reinforce the
behaviours and actions for which the award is presented. CAMA is the
brain child of The Classic International Magazine in the calendar of
the Africa community to honour real drivers of the African society in
various fields of endeavour.
The award is managed in partnership with high ranking Brands/Print and
Electronic media who have continued to serve as a reminder of the
power to celebrate a form that is proven ever more versatile in the
twenty first century.
“After spanning the globe for the finest in home-grown pros and cons
in table of entertainment profession, we have confirmed the likes of
these personalities who have made it in this year’s CAMA 2015,” say
the organisers.
“They include the ever boisterous city big boy and Chairman of Etoks
Communications, who equally plays big in the oil and gas sector of the
economy, Deacon Iyke Kanu who is set to add glam to CAMA 2015 as the
youngest person to chair the event in its five years of existence.
