Justice E. S. Chukwu of the Federal High Court, Abuja on Monday ordered the extradition of Ehidiamhem Okoyomon, a former Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Nigeria Security, Printing and Minting Company to the United Kingdom for trial.
Okoyomon is wanted in the United Kingdom over his alleged role in the bribery scandal involving officials of the Central Bank of Nigeria, the NSPMC and Securency International Pty of Australia between 2006 and 2008.
The trial had dragged, with judgement postponed four times.
But on Monday, Chukwu ruled that Okomoyon should be extradited to the United Kingdom for trial.
The judge gave the government 30 days to extradite Okomoyon.
The case was brought against him by the office of the Attorney General of the Federation.
