The management of Warri Wolves has secured the services of Kaduna United tactician, Maurice Cooreman, to lead the club in the remaining part of the season.
The experienced Belgian is expected to resume duties on Tuesday in Warri as a stand-in manager in the absence Coach Paul Aigbogbun.
Timi Ebikagboro, the General Manager, Media, of the Delta State-owned outfit, confirmed this development on Monday.
Aigbogbun, according to the club’s spokesman, will be taking a brief break of his duties as Technical Adviser of the club, to return to England due to personal family commitments.
According to a letter from the experienced football gaffer, he had to ask for the brief break as he felt it will not be fair on the club to be without a coach while he is not around and as such had formally made the request that he be allowed to return home.
Aigbogun, in his letter, disclosed that he is still a part of the Warri Wolves family as both the players and management have given him all the assistance he needed while on the job, calling on the players to give the same level of cooperation to whoever will be engaged by the management of the club to stand in for him.
He added that it is also painful for him not to be around when the club begins its assault on the continent in this year’s edition of the CAF Confederation Cup competition, but hopes that they will do well like they did last season to pick the ticket.
Aigbogun’s last duty was the premier league week 10 game away to Enyimba Football Club of Aba which the club lost 2-0.
Last season, Warri Wolves finished third on the Nigeria Premier League table behind champions, Dolphin, and runners-up, Sunshine Stars, to pick one of the two tickets to represent Nigeria in this year’s confederation cup competition.
