The Court of Appeal in Abuja on Monday refused an ex parte application filed by the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, seeking a stay of execution of the ruling of the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
The CCT had ruled that Saraki must appear before it and issued a bench warrant for his arrest by the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase.
The first ruling was on Friday, which necessitated Saraki approaching the Court of Appeal for a stay of execution of the order.
Also on Monday, the CCT ruled that Saraki must be produced by Arase before the Tribunal on Tuesday after he was absent again on Monday.
