The Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Prof. Sonni Tyoden, has been commended for his positive contributions to the development of education in the state and its environs
A business tycoon resident in Bukuru Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, Alhaji Lawan Ussinni, gave the commendation.
Ussinni expressed happiness with the administrative style of Tyoden and his boss, Governor Simon Lalong.
He said he was overwhelmed with the touching style of the deputy governor.
He told our correspondent in an interview at a cocktail party to mark Tyoden’s birthday in Jos that the deputy governor has Tyoden touched the lives of people at the grassroots.
He congratulated the deputy governor for clocking 65 years with his committed and quality service to humanity.
Ussinni said: “We have worked very closely with the professor and we came to agree that he is a man of the people whose impact had affected many citizens.”
He appealed to citizens of Plateau State to rally round the government of Lalong and Tyoden by offering them unflinching support towards building a new Plateau State.
According to him: “As business community, we are prepared to ensure this government succeeds in the area of peace and rural development.”
Ussinni expressed confidence with the manner the present administration is handling the issue of salary payment of civil servants and settlement of arrears of outstanding payment.
