The #BringBackOurGirls team will on Tuesday (today) meet with the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Adewale Emosu, in continuation of efforts to free the 234 girls of the Government Girls Secondary school, Chibok, Borno State, abducted by members of Boko Haram.
According to information made available to The Eagle Online, the meeting will take place at the Old Parade Ground, Area 10, Abuja by 3pm.
According to the group, the agenda and procedure for the meeting will be:
2pm: Protesters converge at the driving school near Grand Square, Central Area, Abuja.
2.30pm: Protesters march to the Old Parade Ground.
The group urged all “patriotic Nigerians to join us as we demand the safe return of abducted girls.
“To signify our unity of purpose and common grief, all protesters are expected to wear red clothing.”
The statement, signed by ‘Rinsola Abiola, the Image Consultant of Kareesmah Concepts, said further: “The #BringBackOurGirls team would also like to express profound gratitude
to all those who have played a part – big and small – in demanding that the abducted girls from Chibok Local Government be rescued from their captors.
“We as Nigerians must continue to demand from our government regular communication on the status of work being done to bring back abducted Nigerian girls from Chibok and elsewhere, and that measures be taken to protect our children in vulnerable states in the northeast and elsewhere from future abductions.
The support of and attention to this cause from Nigerians in the diaspora and people from all over the world has been inspiring, and only strengthens our resolve to continue the work until all our daughters and sisters are safely returned home.”
