The Senate Joint Committee on Customs, Excise and Tariff and Marine Transport has met with the Chief Executive Officers of companies accused of shortchanging the country through various import infractions on Wednesday.
This is coming less than a week after the Senate issued the threat to arrest some of them who failed to show up during the initial meeting.
The companies were accused of involvement in the infractions that allegedly cost the nation over N30 trillion.
The Chairman of the Joint Committee, Senator Hope Uzodinma, confirmed the meeting.
Uzodinma said the concerned CEOs have appeared before the committee to give explanation on the alleged involvement in N30 trillion leakages.
