Flying Eagles’ striker, Taiwo Awoniyi, has been adjudged the Most Valuable Player for the second time consecutively at the ongoing African Youth Championship, Senegal 2015.
Awoniyi, who was the thorn in the flesh of the Young Red Devils of Congo, won two assists and a superb goal to earn the accolade.
An elated striker, after receiving the award, said he is not prepared to take off his legs from the pedal.
Awoniyi said he would continue to contribute to the team’s success.
He said: “I’m always delighted with awards such as this but I will still dedicate it to my teammates for giving me the support at all time.
“By God’s grace, we would win the trophy to cap our effort at the end of he competition.”
The Kalmar FC striker has increased his goal tally to three and would seeking for more when the Flying Eagles file out against Cote d’ Ivoire on Saturday.
