Eminent businessman and former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Kalu, has congratulated the Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba (Dr.) Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade 111 (CON), as he clocks 88 on May 27.
Kalu, who is the Aro of Ogbomosoland, described the revered monarch as an outstanding elder statesman owing to his selfless service to his people in particular and mankind in general.
In a goodwill message signed by his Special Adviser, Oyekunle Oyewumi, who is also the son of Oba Oyewumi, Kalu commended the paramount ruler for the tremendous development Ogbomosoland has witnessed under his reign.
He said: “Your Majesty, I join your family, friends and well wishers to celebrate your 88th birthday.
“You remain one of the very few monarchs everyone holds in high esteem.
“Your goodwill is a testimony to your kind heart and philanthropic efforts.
“It is my prayer that God will continue to uplift you as you steer the affairs of your kingdom.”
The former governor acknowledged the business success of Oba Oyewumi before and after ascending the throne, stating that his business venture has created employment for people.
Kalu used the opportunity to call on well meaning Nigerians to be selfless in any position of authority.
Kalu wished the monarch long life and posterity.
