The Organisation of Asia-Pacific News Agencies on Tuesday pledged greater collaboration with the News Agency of Nigeria.
This was contained in a letter of appreciation to the Managing Director of NAN, Ima Niboro, who attended the Executive Board meeting of the organisation in Seoul recently.
The letter, signed by the President of Yonhap, the South Korean News Agency, Park No-hwang, host of the meeting, said the gesture by Niboro “has deepened our friendly relations and comprehensive partnership.
“I hope our efforts will continue to move forward under the OANA framework.”
Park said the meeting had afforded participants the opportunity to reaffirm their determination to continue to cooperate with each other to deal with emerging challenges of the mobile era.
He said: “Throughout the meeting, we reaffirmed that no matter how the times change, the essence of news never does.
“I would like to express my sincere appreciation for your participation and for dedicating your valuable time and passion at the OANA Seoul EBM.
“I look forward to meeting you again on another occasion and continuing to strengthen cooperative ties.”
