The Kwara State Governor, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed, has said the All Progressives Congress remains the party of hope for sustainable growth and development of the country.
According to the governor, while receiving members of the Kwara State APC Ward and Local Government Congresses Appeal Committee in his office, the State remains committed to the party and will work hard to ensure its success in the state.
Ahmed noted that the peaceful conduct of the ward congresses in the state was a clear demonstration of loyalty and commitment of APC leadership in the state to the ideals of the party and reflection of inclusive leadership style in the state.
He said: “We’re committed to the APC. We believe in the vision and mission of the party.
“We remain a strong member of this party.”
The Chairman, Appeal Committee for the state, Alhaji Mohammed Diggol, commended the APC-led government in the state for its giant strides in ensuring that the party remains strong in the state.
Diggol said: “We also hail your administration for the various constructions going on in the state despite your meagre resources.
“The Diamond under pass, the road projects and the street lights are particularly commendable.”
Diggol attributed the developmental strides and peaceful coexistence enjoyed across the state to qualities of continuity in governance.
Diggol said his team was examining the outcome of the APC ward congresses held over the weekend in most parts of the country, listening to grievances, investigating and recommending resolutions to the national body of the party.
Diggol assured the Governor that his team would fulfil all righteousness and ensure a fair hearing to all aggrieved individuals.
