Popular Yoruba actor, Prince Dele Odule, has broken the silence after Justice Bolaji Yusuf of the Federal High Court, Ibadan, Oyo State pronounced Comrade Victor Ashaolu as the authentic and duly elected president of the Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners.
Reacting to the ruling, Odule lamented that the court did not pronounce true justice in the matter.
He described the judgment as an injustice.
He further said that until Ashaolu duly contests against him in a free and fair election, he will not regard him as his leader.
Odule added: “You can never uphold an election that never held.
“I don’t see why the court can uphold such case.
“Tell Ashaolu to tell the public if those that were to hold election did.
“Let him tell the world those who participated in the election.”
However, some aggrieved members of ANTP have formed another association, the Theatre Arts and movie practitioners Association of Nigeria.
The new group was reportedly formed on Sunday at the residence of Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello.
Salami lives in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
