All eyes on Yobo as he makes history

History beckons for Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo, on Wednesday (today) when the team files out against Argentina.
Yobo, if he plays in the match, will attain the prestigious 100 caps in the colours of Nigeria.
Yobo has been part of the first team since the first choice centre back, Godfrey Oboabona, picked up a toe injury in the first match against Iran.
The Norwich of England player has however decided to play his centenary appearance low and rather focus on what the Super Eagles could achieve at the World Cup.
He is however happy he is on the verge of making history in the colours of Nigeria.
Yobo said: “We are still in the competition and intend to go far.
“The focus for now is the match against Argentina and perhaps our opponent in the second round.
“We still need a result in the match against Argentina and will not take chances.
“I am delighted about my number of caps so far.
“Hopefully, it will be 100 against Argentina and I am excited and thank all those who made it possible in various ways.
“It is always a honour to play for your country and I am proud to have gone this far.”
