The management of Crime Busters FC, Enugu has vowed that the team will definitely defeat Akajiobi United of Owerri in their play-off for 2018 Aiteo (Federation) Cup Competition.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the Crime Busters, also known as I-G Police Machine, will lock horns with Akajiobi United at the Umuahia Township Stadium in Abia on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
The Team Manager of Crime Busters, Ebere Amaraizu, told NAN in Enugu on Monday that the Aiteo Cup Competition was a different ball game and required a different approach because “it is all about knockout’’.
Amaraizu said that playing such a competition required that you must not lose focus at any time as every minute or second count.
He said: “The boys will have nothing to worry about than to get into the field of play, remain focused and play to instructions to the end of each encounter.
“No game or team will be looked down on or taken for granted, as football is usually a game of 11 players versus 11 players.
“We have to approach all games technically and tactically in order to make our organisation, supporters and fans happy.”
According to him, the boys know what is ahead of them as well as the vision and mission of the club.
NAN reports that the Aiteo Cup Competition is coming at a time when Crime Busters is looking forward to a beautiful Nigeria Nationwide League One promotion play-off match on September 8 to pick up a place in the Nigeria National League in 2018/2019 football season.
