No fewer than 20 worshippers who had gone to pray at a mosque on Saturday morning were killed by gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram sect in Yobe State.
The incident happened in Buni Gari village.
The village is about 100km from the Yobe State capital, Damaturu.
Yobe is one of the three states in the North East where President Goodluck Jonathan has declared state of emergency.
The other two are Borno and Adamawa States.
