ACN wins bye-election in Lagos

The result of the bye election in Ward A, Alayabiagba of Ajeromi Local Government Area held on Tuesday has been released.
The result showed that the candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria, Olubukola Wilson, recorded a landslide victory over the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, Bashiru Afolabi.
A statement by the Lagos State Commissioner for Information revealed that the ACN polled 1,965 votes while the PDP had 339 votes.
The ACN also won in all the 39 units of the local government area, including defeating Afolabi in his own polling unit 0031.
