Former Nigerian international Osaze Odemwingie’s Premier League career may not be over after all.
West Ham are interested in prolonging the 35-year-old top-flight stay according to The Sun.
It says West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is ready to offer him a trial ahead of a possible move to the Olympic Stadium.
That would certainly be a huge reversal of fortune after Odemwingie was released by Stoke at the end of last season.
He enjoyed a fruitful loan spell with Bristol City towards the end of the campaign but no permanent move materialised.
The former Nigerian international was then linked with a move to Hull before the Premier League newcomers parted company with manager Steve Bruce.
Odemwingie spent two-and-a-half seasons with Stoke after a swap deal which took Kenwyne Jones to Cardiff.
Sadly, his promising start to life at Stoke was interrupted by a cruciate knee ligament injury at Manchester City at the start of the following season in 2014.
