Governor Muhammad Badaru of Jigawa State on Thursday said he would not waste his time in probing his predecessor, Alhaji Sule Lamido, but concentrate on the provision of good governance for people of the state.
The governor made the remark in Dutse during an interactive with newsmen as part of activities to mark 100 days in office.
Badaru said his administration was busy working hard to fulfill his campaign promises and other covenant he had with the people.
He said the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had commenced investigation into certain financial mismanagement of the immediate past administration in the state.
Badaru said his administration distributed 16,440 goats to widows in 274 wards in the 27 local government areas of the state.
He said his administration had commenced the process of commercialising agriculture to provide jobs for the people.
He said the government had concluded plans to build 790 low cost houses for civil servants in the state.
Badaru said: “Twenty low cost houses will be built in each of the 27 local government areas in the state.”
