An Engineer, Adamu Hayatu, has offered reasons why Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, is opposed to the relocation of some departments of the Central Bank of Nigeria to Lagos.
Ndume, the representative of Borno North Senatorial District, had been strident in his opposition to the move.
The Chief Whip of the 10th Senate said it amounted to gradually stripping the North of the establishments by President Bola Tinubu.
But Hayatu, in a tweet on his X handle, said Ndume’s opposition to the move goes beyond his claim of loving the North.
The Green Infrastructure Engineer, who has been described as an ally of a Deputy Governor of the CBN, Mohammed Sani Abdullhi, said it was because the senator has a daughter, who would be affected by the decision to move the departments to Lagos.

He equally alleged that the husband of the affected daughter and the husband of Ndume’s second daughter also work in the apex bank.
He tweeted: “Senator Ndume is angry because his daughter in Consumer Protection Department is moving to Lagos.
“Her Husband and another guy who is also married to his Second Daughter are all working in CBN.
“So much for fighting for the North!”
