Further investigation has been opened into another racist chant aimed specifically at Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian, who suffered racial chants two weeks ago by Fiorentina fans, has once again come under same attack.
He was attacked on Sunday in the barren draw against Roma.
Though, Roma were fined €10,000 for their fans making “territorial discrimination” chants but further investigations have been launched into the matter.
Recall that Osimhen, Andre-Frank Zambo Aguissa and Kalidou Koulibaly were racially abused by a small section of the Fiorentina supporters after their defeat to Napoli.
Napoli beat Fiorentina 2-1 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday afternoon, yet the game was marred by the insults.
Koulibaly responded to the chants aimed at him and his teammates as they headed back to the dressing room.
“Did you call me a monkey?” he shouted at La Viola’s supporters in question.
“Come here and say that to my face!”
Fiorentina apologised to the club and the players following the incident.
