Manchester United have confirmed defender Raphael Varane will miss ‘a few weeks’ of action after suffering a groin injury on international duty with France.
The 28-year-old had scans at Carrington on Tuesday after limping out in the first half of Les Bleus’ Nations League final victory against Spain on Sunday.
And the club have confirmed that the ex-Real Madrid centre-back has begun his rehabilitation.
‘Raphael Varane sustained a groin muscle injury in the UEFA Nations League final and has commenced rehabilitation at the club,’ a club statement read.
With Euro 2020 heartache firmly behind them, France are now unbeaten in their last 25 competitive games.
‘He will be out for a few weeks.’
