A Togolese, Koku Sunday, has killed a security guard and set a petrol station, Titolu Venture Filling Station in Ondo State, ablaze because the owner owes him N25,000 salary.
This development was confirmed on Tuesday by the Togolese during his parade by the Ondo State Police Command.
Sunday said the N25,000, which led to his setting the station ablaze and killing the security guard, simply identified as Sunday, in July 2022, was his one month salary.
He said he was earlier remanded to prison custody over the theft of 10 crates of beer.
He said: “I was arrested because I killed somebody.
“The woman owes me money I work for one month.
“I worked in that place for three months before I was sacked.”
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Fumilayo Odunlami, said the suspect would soon be charged in court.
