The exercise, at Bodo City Girls Secondary School in Gokana, is part of efforts to combat carbon emissions and promote sustainable environmental practices.
They join First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) and Shell Companies in Nigeria in supporting the landmark event.
The seminar, themed “Empowering Journalists in the Digital Age: Storytelling, Tools & Transformation,” aimed to equip media professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in today’s rapidly changing journalism landscape.
This year’s seminar is themed: “Empowering Journalists in the Digital Age: Storytelling, Tools & Transformation”, and will feature two distinguished facilitators: Taiwo Obe, Founder and Director of Journalism Clinic, and Abayomi Adisa, a Senior Journalist with the BBC.
In appreciation, the NDLEA delegation decorated Lawal for his and the Bank’s outstanding contributions in supporting the agency’s objectives.
The event, held within the school premises, witnessed an impactful engagement led by Andrew Komori, the Group Head of Polaris Bank.

The latest deployment was in continuation of its presentation of school essentials to select public school students in the country.
Through its targeted interventions, the Bank has ensured continuous education for the over 16,000 out-of-school students.
The bank received the sectoral recognition for its innovative HR practice at the NECA’s Excellence Awards, (the 4th edition) which held recently at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Ikeja.
Since its inception in 2015, Amtis Skills Place has been committed to equipping young Nigerians with vocational skills.
The programme by Polaris Bank was aimed at promoting a culture of saving and financial responsibility among young Nigerians.
The 2024 media workshop has the theme: “Integrating AI tools in Contemporary Media practices for Innovation and Excellence.”
This initiative underscores Polaris Bank’s unwavering commitment to women’s health and is part of the bank’s long-standing efforts and intervention to support breast cancer awareness behavioral change, advocacy and prevention in Nigeria.
