The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has lifted the suspension of the stadium following the incident prior to Cameroon’s last-16 victory over Comoros last Monday (January 24).

CAF had announced the suspension of matches at the stadium following a tragic incident in which eight persons died.
The President of the Confederation of African Football, Patrice Motsepe, called for an immediate investigation into the disaster.

Cameroon fought back to win 2-1 in the game at Olembe Stadium, Yaoundé.
CAF had previously used VAR from the quarter-finals stage of the 2019 edition in Egypt.
