He gave the assurance when he led members of the committee on an oversight visit to Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO, NiDCOM, at the Commission’s office in Abuja.

According to a statement issued by Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Head of Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit, NiDCOM, Dabiri-Erewa appreciated the kind gesture of the First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, for consistently providing transportation and other forms of support during rescue operations.
The disclosure was made during a strategic meeting between the Ambassador and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NiDCOM, Hon. Abike Dabiri Erewa, alongside the Secretary to the Commission, Dr. Sule Yakubu Bassi, and members of the Turkish delegation.
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa, announced this at the signing ceremony of a Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with InnoPower Africa, on the sidelines of the just concluded 8th Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit in Abuja.
Dabiri-Erewa, who stated this during a news briefing held at NiDCOM Lagos Office, Agidingbi, Ikeja, encouraged young Nigerians and diaspora returnees to participate actively in the Connected Diaspora x DOWA Start Up Challenge, noting that entries close on December 7, 2025.
The initiative, aimed at mobilizing Nigerian talents globally and deepening diaspora engagement for national development, was announced in a statement issued to newsmen by the Director Media, Public Relations, and Protocols, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, on Tuesday.
Dabiri-Erewa in the congratulatory message described Prof. Ononiwu’s achievement as a remarkable milestone and an inspiration to Nigerians across the world.
The interactive session, scheduled to hold on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 4pm (Nigeria time), aims to enlighten Nigerians living in the diaspora.
