The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service has reiterated its commitment to ensure that the country’s agricultural produce meets international standard in line with the International Plant Protection Convention.
The Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service on Saturday confiscated perishable exported foods worth over N3 million and rejected by the United Kingdom due to failure to obtain phytosanitary certification.
NAQS Spokesman, Dr Gozie Nwodo, said in a statement that all SWPM must be accompanied with import permit from the Service.
