The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun, Ahmed Umar, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The Sector Commander ,Ahmed Umar, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Sunday in Ota, Ogun, that five others were unhurt in the accident which occurred at about 10.10 p.m. on Saturday.

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has directed CCECC, the contractor handling the Lagos-Ibadan rail project, to complete the Iju-Agbado section of the project in two weeks.

A 12-year-old girl was on Thursday killed in a lone accident at Awowo on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway while five others were injured.

He stated this at the construction site at Adumbu village, near Papalanto in Ogun, saying that the Federal Government had resolved the issue of utilities such as underground pipes, gas lines and cables.
