The presidential plane touched down at King Hussein International Airport at 8.15pm local time (7.15pm Nigerian time) and a cold embrace was what Aqaba offered. It was winter, and the city gripped you in a forceful bear hug that was icy cold. Nobody taught me before I made a dash for the vehicle that was to take me into the city.
