It has become not only demanding but necessary and expedient for the Federal Road Safety Corps to clarify the misconceptions and misrepresentations regarding the alleged involvement of its personnel in the unfortunate crash that occurred on 1st February, 2020 within RS11.31 Ogbomoso general operation area of the Corps.

As the first phase of the 2019 special end of year patrol ends, the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi, has undertaken a critical review of the exercise with a call on the motoring public to sustain their obedience to traffic rules and regulations, saying so far, the road has remained stable.

Thos promoted were 108 Chief Route Commander promoted to Assistant Corps Commanders, 54 Superintendent Route Commanders to Chief Route Commander, while 741 Route Commanders were elevated to the rank of Superintendent Route Commander.

According to a statement by Bisi Kazeem, the Corps Public Education Officer, the two personnel, who were travelling in a Toyota Hilux pick-up van with registration number: PILOT 01A, were ambushed by the gunmen after Zariagi on Lokoja-Okene Road, precisely at Oshawa, a town close to Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
